Fast Five: On Becoming Exceptional

We hear words like "outstanding", "exceptional", and "gifted" thrown around too liberally. Who wouldn't want to be considered exceptional? What dimensions belong? 

If we surveyed coaches and players to develop a list, certain themes would emerge. 

Exceptional coaches share reciprocal trust with their players. 

They encourage mastery via clarity of communication. 

They empower players by sharing knowledge. 

The doing is in the details...no matter the merits of your profession. 

Exceptional coaches put their teams ahead of themselves.
