1-4 Low BLOB Series Examples

Why consider the 1-4 low set for BLOBs? It provides versatility and distorts any zone alignment because both the posts and perimeter are immediate threats. 

Here are just a few of the simple possibilities...and you can create far more options. 

"America's play" with the option for the 1 to screen 3 instead...with a basket cut or mismatch on a switch. 

Post entry into a pick-and-roll handoff. 

Double stagger away...the Celtics have run a version of this. 

High post entry with screen on the big...if you're not afraid of getting your 1 clobbered. 

Elevator screen. Usually we see this out of a box. 

Overaggressive defense? Back cuts provide antidotes. 

With a little imagination, you can run some of these as 'sets' in the half court, if the players aren't mentally too taxed.
