Lessons from Tufts Versus Westfield State

"Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days." - Ecclesiastes 11 King James Version

Philosophy: learn daily and share information freely.

There is always more to learn. During the first round games at Tufts, teams shared imagination and information.

Ithaca Horns slip away.

Geneseo STS cross into downscreen for three.

Warmups:

Tufts began with UCONN two dribble jump stop from half court with wing cutter layup drill.

Westfield began with 3-man weave with everyone shoots; one person shooting layup and wings outside shots (from two players underneath)...wing shooters become new underneath passers.

Tufts ran "two lines under" with loop pass for high finish.

Tufts Reverse layup lines

Westfield four corner layup passing (pass and follow diagonally)

Tufts quick hitter back cut. "Simple works well." As I remind our players, "fall in love with easy."

Westfield tried to run DHO into second ball screen but Tufts shut it down with switching.
