Basketball: What Are Your Answers to Key Questions

“Every day is is a big day. He says it in May. He says it in July. He says it in December.” - Tom Brady, in Belichick by Ian O’Connor

Define yourself
  • How much do you love the game?
  • How much do you love practice?
  • Is studying the game part of your ethos?
  • Is preparation drudgery, part of the price, or grist for your mill?
Embrace your role.
  • Are you 'all in' on your role?
  • Do you envy or support your teammates?
  • Are you ready to step in and step up?
Be ready for crunch time.
  • Do you believe it's not who starts it's who finishes?
  • Are you always "in the game" understanding the plan of both teams?
  • Do teammates want you on the floor in the “eye of the storm?”
Lagniappe: Sticky concepts -

"Do more of what works and less of what doesn't."
"Do well what you do a lot."

"Use more actions that your team struggles to defend."

Don't fear being the Lone Wolf. "Stay strong. Keep going."

Roots. Expand your vocabulary with Greek and Latin roots. Knowing basketball but not English won't get you an education... a quick intro.

The origin of the word DOGMA comes from the Greek "to seem good" not "to be good."
