Scoring from the Short Corner and Corner

"Where do points arise?" We presume action like transition, sets, motion, free throws. Think again to include court location.

Remember the corner and short corner. Here are possibilities:

Short corner attack. Study Jack Sikma's pivoting and execution.

It helped him to the Hall of Fame.

SLOB. "Winner" screen-the-screener action.

BOB. Everyone runs a version of 'America's Play'

Maybe we should defend it with an "X switch".

Catch and shoot off x3 help

Can't contain dribble penetration? Teams help off the corner.

Hammer action opens the weakside corner.

Celtics 5 out corner back cut.

Corner dribble give-and-go

Zipper screen corner

Teams aren't necessarily prepared to defend actions from the corner. Mismatch may factor in, too.

Corner pick-and-roll.

Depending on personnel, teams may attack using corner pick-and-roll. We used a BOB (below). With a future high school all-scholastic at the 5, it was unstoppable in some games.

Hard corner crash rebounding can redeem points.

Lagniappe (something extra). Protect the ball.

Lagniappe 2. The Butler did it. Here's how, technical and physical.
