Take away ideas on learning.
School isn't 'easy' for everyone. Maybe you have an aptitude for music or art or extreme emotional intelligence. You still need to learn how to learn.
Commit to learning.
- Study teaching as a precursor to learning
- Learn how to learn. I took this free course a few years ago.
- Learn the Feynman technique Name, explain, research, simplify
- Study a topic...whatever you want... transition defense, offensive rebounding, free throw shooting.
- Write it down. Writing helps us learn.
- Read voraciously. This morning I was reading Tattooist of Auschwitz. Learning is often uncomfortable.
- Set aside "thinking time." Maybe that's during a walk or in the shower.
- Build better habits. Follow James Clear's advice in Atomic Habits, to make good habits easier and bad ones harder.
- Be positive. Positivity breeds positivity. Choose to live a life of gratitude not grievance.
