Basketball Boomerangs and More

Maybe you hated science because they didn't teach applications. Boomerang physics utilize the Bernoulli principle (also used to allow airplanes to fly, pitchers to throw curveballs, and volleyballers to use topspin).

Geno Auriemma's UCONN Huskies ran a "boomerang" BOB when Breanna Stewart was the inbounder. 


UCONN moved the defense with a cutter and then entered to the high post who ran an unorthodox give-and-go to Stewie. 

Years ago, our 7th grade girls improvised this SLOB "boomerang" off a zipper entry.
