Basketball: What's on Your "To Don't" List?

Negative thinking has power. "Think again" and add items to your "to don't" list.

- Don't cheat yourself out of eight hours of sleep. 

- Don't ignore the importance of gratitude. Thank people around you. 

- Don't try to do everything by yourself. "Two is one and one is none," say the Navy SEALs.

- Don't work out alone if you can find a partner for company and competitiveness.

- Don't fuel your machine with junk food.

- Don't let a day pass without reading.  

- Don't lower your personal and professional "character standards."

- Don't criticize a teammate. 

- Don't spend your time, invest it. 

- Don't ever do something that will embarrass yourself and your team.

Excellence requires refueling.

Lagniappe 2. Dumbbell workout. Five reps each, five sets. It's easy enough even a senior citizen can do it. 

Lagniappe 3. Watch in pieces. It's volleyball but it's still a good workout. Your mind is your number one tool. Your body is number two.
