Nothing good ever happens after midnightBo Schembechler
Crime drama fans know the authorities use a "murder board" to solve homicides.
Coaches subconsciously do this every day. Take a "Bird's Eye" Overview at "evidence board" items that stand out. Look for the usual suspects that are murdering your offense. Looking in more granular detail often explains the problems.
I created this 'first' look with Scapple.
Often, problem areas are:
- Turnovers (zero percent possessions)
- Poor shot selection (including "shot turnovers")
- Low skill finishing at all levels
- Poor spacing
- Lack of urgent cutting and on-time/on-target passing
Lagniappe. Attitude and culture are critical but don't replace size, skill, and athleticism.
