Words matter. Help players make memories.
Messages can endure forever. Praise, encouragement, gratitude, and sometimes correction change lives.
I only told one player "you're the best player I've ever coached," but I've told many "I believe in you."
I remember hearing "you're going to start because you earned it," before the beginning of my senior season.
