3-on-3 Half-Court Creation Drill

After communication, we teach players to "see the game." The best students earn the rep "high basketball IQ." 

Herb Brown talked about running 3 player actions (3 lines of players...e.g. guard, wing, post) in his book Preparing for Special Situations to encourage creative play. Although defense is not shown, it's necessary to teach players to read the situation. 

Sometimes I'll set this up with a "dribble handoff/dribble at" initiating option. But the goal is allowing the players to read the defense and make the right play. 

Here are a few possible examples:
