Teaching Ball Movement, Ball Reversal

Basketball is a game of habits. One of the most difficult habits to teach is what I called "forced movement". 

Three broad-based concepts:
- a game of passing and cutting
- movement kills defenses 
- move with purpose

Here are a sequence of extremely simple ideas to illustrate: 

Space

Ball reversal options

Pass and replace sets ups later actions

Add defense and move the ball. Initially no dribbling and no screening allowed. I would 'insist' that help side defender have at least a foot in the paint to make it more realistic (offensively and defensively).
