Fast Five: The Beginner's Mind; An Indulgence Not a Chore

"In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities,
but in the expert's there are few." - Shunryu Suzuki

1. Make your morning routine "an indulgence not a chore." I can't tell you what belongs in your morning productivity routine but having one helps us "win the day".

2. Stretch our minds on the path to our better versions. We are our better angels. Curiosity makes us better.

3. Start with "the beginner's mind". Think back to elementary school, the joy of learning, the openness and richness of experience. Recapture an 'empty cup'.

4. Your process is your routine. Gandhi remarked, "First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Finally, you win." Being different means discomfort. Discomfort leads to growth.

Exceptionalism demands excellence at execution, innovation, persistence, and combinations.

If you want different results from everyone else, you have to be different. Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Steve Jobs, and Bill Gates escape the prison of conventional wisdom. Have the courage to be different.

5. Nobody celebrates the cookie cutter
