Coaches have legions of concerns about teams. But we should invest our time and efforts in what we can control.
What can we control? Use practice time to maximize its impact on player development, team development, and game play. That's how we advance the story... where the rubber meets the road.
1. Tempo (speed it up)
2. Efficiency (fake fundamentals)
3. Measurement (of practice)
4. Feedback
What's your (top) concern? (Handling pressure, "Skill", man or zone offense, defense, depth, toughness, basketball IQ, etc.).
-Scoring against "legitimate" defenders.
-Containing the ball.
How can we mitigate that concern?

Just read a cool article on talent evaluation. If you aren’t playing small-sides games to evaluate talent, you aren’t evaluating talent.— Aaron Fernandez (@CoachFernandez1) September 24, 2019
I encourage all coaches to ditch the drills/sprints this upcoming try out. Instead, play a bunch of games and you’ll find the right players!
