The practice court is the teaching laboratory, 4 coaches. Game competition is the performance venue, 4 players. Both work stations are valued, w/ learning, challenging and caring. Excellence has no hardwood boundaries.

Great elevator play from Stanford out of a chin alignment. Check out this play and more in this compilation of favorite plays from the 2021 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament featuring half-court, zone and inbound plays. https://t.co/g0DOL7u9oi pic.twitter.com/r8ft6T2PR0

Lagniappe. Got a big who attacks off the bounce?
- Pivoting is undertaught. You can practice in the house, but don't break the lamps. Pivot and read the defender simultaneously.
- Some teach the permanent pivot foot. Your strong hand is your strong foot...if right-handed, you'll feel more comfortable pivoting off the left foot.
- Pivoting on the wing catch, right foot on right side gets you closer to the basket.
- If overplayed (right side), you might catch and reverse pivot (off the left foot) with the Newell "deep step" with one dribble to the basket.
- Pivot and protect (the ball). I teach players to avoid the defender's STRIKE ZONE (knees to letters). Sweep low. If you sweep high and elbow the defender in the face, you will get payback.
