Thirteen year-old girls aren’t going to respond to sarcasm. Ask for ‘good basketball’ and continually define and refine what that means. Add value through simplicity and clarity, praising what’s done well and correcting mistakes. And don’t lose your mind, they’re kids deserving a chance to grow.
