Good ideas are everywhere.
Imagine a snail - protection on the outside and value on the inside. "Slow and steady." Snails clean water.
Be open to seeing ideas.
1) The news. Analogies abound. Need a democracy quote? Teams are benevolent dictatorships.
2) Television. Got Netflix? The Playbook is an outstanding series featuring legendary coaches including Dawn Staley, Jose Mourinho, and Jill Ellis. Here's a quote from an Alone winner, "Money is what we trade our lives for." How much money would buy time back?
3) Books. One book generates a wealth of possibilities such as The Art of Possibility, Why the Best Are the Best, Made to Stick, Legacy, Toughness, and many more.
4) Social media. Threads, twitter and others... yes, negative exists. Try not to feed it.
5) YouTube. It doesn't have to be basketball. Maybe an idea for 'warmup music'. See dancing? How much could dance training help our athletes?
6) Podcasts. Chris Oliver's is great. There are so many.
7) Artificial intelligence. Ask your favorite AI sites like ChatGPT. The current MasterClass series on AI spawns a ton.
8) Newspapers. Yes, that relic from our youth has plenty to offer.
9) Movies. The classic line...
10)Blogs. It's rumored that some add value. Here's a list of RSS Basketball Feeds. This blog is at 47.
11)Newsletters. There are an abundance of free basketball newsletters. Here's a link to a free sign up for a good one.
12)Studying great teams, coaches, and players. The ideas fly off their pages. Remember to "make friends with the dead," as many great coaches are no longer with us.
13)MasterClass allows me access to hundreds of legendary teachers and domain experts - Coach K, Coach Auriemma, Steph Curry, Bob Woodward, Malcolm Gladwell, James Patterson, Chef Thomas Keller, Yo-yo Ma, Samuel L. Jackson, Ron Howard and many more.
14)Subscription sites. Here's a quote from Patriots D-Coordinator DeMarcus Covington via Mike Giardi of Boston Sports Journal - "We're not an individual-based defense like we're going to win because of this one person," he asserted. "We're going to win because we play well as a team, and we play good team defense, we play with fundamentals, and we play aggressively and do what we're supposed to do. That's why we win. That's why we're going to win, and that's how we've done it in the past, too..."
15) Extreme thinkers such as Professor Adam Grant

Lagniappe 2. Love "Tricolon?" Here's load, lock, and leave for PnR coverage.
LOAD, LOCK OR LEAVE
— Chris Steed (@steeder10) September 2, 2024
LOADING is applying heavy gap and rim pressure.
LOCK is keeping the offensive player to a specific side.
LEAVING is packing the paint.

The PNR coverage and how much ball pressure is applied are the ANCHORS of all 3:
