The Copycat Principle: Steal Sets and Make Them Ours

Here's a link to an article on Plays for Your Point Guard. I wondered (without reading it in detail) what I would recommend. First, I'd think about "point guard" as best player as a more generic solution.

UCONN's women, one of the top programs in the history of college basketball, targets a third of their points from sets. That's with a fleet of high school All-Americans. If our high school thinks we'll score well without some sets then I've got a bridge to sell you.

Substitute 'best player' for 1 if preferred.

These are "easy" actions which rely on fundamental execution.

Elbow Get with a ball screen for the 1.

"Chelmsford" similar to Duke Elbow series.

UCONN "Nurse" horns variant with backscreen for player, such as Kia Nurse.

Spread give-and-go or back cut. Failure to cut urgently is a common cause for multiple actions failure.
