A player says, "Coach, I put in the time." What matters is not only the time working but the quality of the work.
- Leave your comfort zone.
- Have a clear idea of what you seek to accomplish.
- Be intentional in pursuit of your goal.
- It has to be difficult.
- Actions must transfer to game play and impact winning. Defenders are not cones.
- Ask better questions: "What am I getting from this?"
I recently asked a coach about an ascending player... he said, "She wants to play. She wants to learn."
Consider having a workout partner. That increases efficiency, competition, and may drag a teammate into the top ten percent.
You may be ISO - IN SEARCH OF your identity, who you are as a player. Think about your 'impact value'. Will you impact winning by scoring, passing, rebounding?
