Numbers don’t sweat in practice.
Numbers don’t fight through adversity.
Numbers don’t play the game.
The man does.
Your H.E.A.R.T. can't be measured on a stat sheet.

To get and stay on the court, impact winning. How? First a couple of acronyms.
ACE - attitude, choices, effort. A passing grade is not enough. Be superior in all aspects. Want to win every drill, every sprint, every scrimmage.
VDE - vision, decisions, execution. The best players scan and see the court better than others. They make better decisions. They execute better. "Fall in love with easy." Turnovers arise from either bad decisions or failed execution. Better shots are the quickest path to better shooting. Remember Pete Carril's advice, "the quality of the shot directly relates to the quality of the pass."
How you play (achievement) is the sum of your performance and consistency.
I see high school players' wizardry with behind-the-back and between-the-legs dribbles. Too often they can't attack the basket, shoot, or make a free throw. Better to have "and one" skills than "And 1" skills.
Are you impacting the game with anything besides scoring? The other night I watched a backup freshman point guard at American University (Mary Bolesky) ignite a 16-2 comeback run with her hustle, defense, and passing. She scored one hoop.
Impacting winning gets and keeps a player on the floor.
1) Make others around you better. That can show up at either or both ends of the floor and through effort and toughness.
2) Winning players impact more possessions in some positive combination of offense and defense.
3) Everything in preparation and practice should impact winning. Eliminate 'fake fundamentals', inefficiency, and busy work. During a "break" a group should be shooting free throws while others get their drink.
Lagniappe. We'd have a group play 3 on 3 at each end with a coach and constraints (inside the split).
Why 3v3 Is The Cure For What Ails Your Team

I don't know your team, but I do know this - there are things your team does that frustrate you!
It could be how your team handles pressure. It could be rebounding.

Lagniappe 2. How many of us played three sports in high school?

Lagniappe 3. Teams with more talent should play faster.
For us, playing "faster" was an accumulation of several small adjustments.
