Coach Knight says that zone defenses offer the opportunity to decide whom and where to attack. Here's an idea that I've modified from Tom Izzo's "X" zone offense.
The key is timely screening to open the middle of the zone for attack as 4 and 5 'headhunt' (screen the man) diagonally (The X). This establishes a wing ball screen to force x5 to step up.
The real pressure occurs for x4. If she covers 1 in the corner, then 5 gets a layup on the roll. If x4 stays home, then 1 gets an open corner 3.
