Statement Game
Communicate clearly. In The Legacy Builder, Rod Olson talks about Speaking Greatness. Everything we do and everything we say affects those around us. We can consciously improve our process.
Use every great idea available.

BLUF...bottom line up front. Don't bury the lead. Save time by leading with the critical information.
"It pays to be a winner." Reward excellence and the attendant effort.
"If you want people to be winners, treat them like winners." Pat Riley has an expression, "Catch people in the action of doing something right." Rewards don't have to be expensive to have value. Public recognition of high performance matters.
"If everything seems perfect and in order ("smells like fresh paint"), it probably isn't - and you probably aren't getting the truth. Hines explains that the Queen of England often gets people's best (but not authentic) face.
"Shout praise and whisper criticism." This isn't a Navy SEAL directive. But it works. Correct actions or behaviors that warrant it. But on the court, do so in a way that doesn't create humiliation or shame. It takes time to earn players' trust and loyalty, but far less to lose it.
